For the filling:
- 500gr chicken breast
- 300gr chesee
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- homemade sauces
- garlic powder
Season the chicken to taste. In a hot pan add 2 tablespoons of olive oil over which to put the chicken. Stir constantly and leave it on the fire for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
For the sauce:
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200gr sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Grind the garlic cloves and mix with a teaspoon of oil and salt. Add sour cream and mix well.
For the tortilla:
- 500gr flour
- 80ml vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 300ml warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Put flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl. We mix them and make a hole in the middle of it. Add the water, oil and mix with a spatula until it becomes inefficient, then switch to manual kneading.
Knead until it comes off the walls of the bowl and get an elastic dough, quite soft and slightly sticky, do not add water because they will come out dry. Set aside for 10 minutes, cover.
Remove the dough from the bowl on the work surface and knead for another 5 minutes.
Let it rest again for 10 minutes and then divide it into 16 equal parts. We spread each piece of dough on a work surface sprinkled with 24 cm circles with flour.
Bake on a hot pan for 40-50 seconds on each side, you don’t need more, as they are quite thin and otherwise they will dry out.
After the chicken and the sticks are ready, we take a tortilla, place it on the worktop and start adding the ingredients. First add the garlic sauce and salsa sauce, over which we put the chicken and cheese. Optionally we can add vegetables. I also added pickles. Fold the tortilla and put it on the grill for 3 minutes on each side. It’s ready to serve!
If after this quesadilla you have a craving for something sweet, here’s an idea.
