American Horror Story
American Horror Story is an anthology series that has been on the air since 2011. It’s produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who also created Glee. The series was originally conceived as a spinoff of their hit FOX show, Scream Queens (which they renamed to American Crime Story), but it eventually became its own entity with different characters and locations.
The first season of AHS aired in October 2011; each subsequent season features new cast members who are killed off at the end of each episode (or sacrificed). Some seasons have included multiple stories within them—for example, Asylum featured different timelines within one larger narrative arc—while others have focused on one specific story line over many episodes (Cult) or just one episode per season (Freak Show).
The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory is a comedy about a group of friends who are scientists and engineers working at Caltech.
The show stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Simon Helberg.
Broad City is a comedy series that follows two best friends, Abbi and Ilana. The show was created by Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, who also star in it.
The show’s premise is simple: both women are struggling to navigate their lives as 20-something New Yorkers; they’re also trying to avoid being alone with each other all day long because that would be boring. But despite all of this, the pair still manage to find themselves in ridiculous situations involving sex toys, drug dealers and other forms of debauchery that we’ve come to expect from any good comedy series worth its salt (and I’m sure there are many more than this). The most recent season ended on a cliffhanger so if you haven’t seen it yet then now might be an ideal time for you!

Californication is the story of Hank Moody, a novelist who decides to move to Los Angeles after his wife leaves him. When he arrives, he discovers that his writer’s block has come back and this time there’s no turning back; his work is not good enough for him anymore. He also meets some interesting characters along the way: a therapist named Karen (Kristen Bell) who helps him with his problems; an actress named Chloe (Elizabeth Berkley) who wants fame but doesn’t care about anything else in life; and one of Hank’s ex-girlfriends named Gretchen (Amanda Peet).
Californication may not be as well-known as other shows on this list but it still deserves its place here because it does something unique: it tells an honest story about writing without being preachy or overly sentimental about it. It shows how hard writing can be sometimes while never taking away from what makes it so enjoyable in the first place: creativity!
